I’m Fine Podcast with Jean Campbell

Project Overview
We were commissioned to produce Season 2 of ‘I’m Fine’, a mental health podcast created by model Jean Campbell. The brief required a high-end visual standard to match the profile of the guests, but with the flexibility to record anywhere.

The Approach
We built a mobile studio rig. Since the show relies on intimate conversation, we needed technology that was effective but unobtrusive. We used a multi-camera setup with live-switching capabilities. This allowed us to cut the show in real-time, delivering long-form episodes and social media clips efficiently.

Challenges & Solutions
Consistency is the main difficulty. We film in various locations – from hotel suites to private homes – to accommodate the schedules of high-profile guests.

Every room sounds and looks different. We have to control the environment quickly, using portable sound treatment to dampen echo in reflective rooms. Lighting is also key; we use a specific three-point lighting setup to ensure that, despite the changing backdrops, the visual style remains consistent across the season. We also have to work fast – setup times are often tight to respect the guests’ time.

Outcome
The season has been a significant success. The content has been viewed by millions globally, garnering positive press and proving that a portable setup can deliver studio-quality results.
